SEARious Jones aka SEAR
A prolific creative, whose work ranges between traditional paintwork and aerosol – portraiture, design, illustration, and lettering with a special interest in 3D, sculpture and working parts.
A sarcastic sense of humour,and a love of satire and word play are evident,as is the heavy influence of saturday morning cartoon punch, National Geographic drama and wonder, and info soaked, DIY punk rock posters. Also an obsession for playing with power tools, pulling apart and figuring out how things work and making visuals interactive….
All of these elements get layered and applied to a ‘suitable’ canvas, generally a recycled or ‘rescued’ one, that adds its own ‘voice’ to the story.
