The Paterson Project was one of Melbourne’s most exciting and important street art events of 2015. Elite talent from all over Australia painted together under one roof to raise money for The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation with artworks auctioned off on the opening night of the 6th March. Housed inside the ‘Grand Lady’ of Smith Street, the Paterson building’s top three floors were transformed into one giant canvas for more than 100 artists.
Ive heard rumors that $100,000.00 was raised for The Royal Children’s hospital but unfortunately i cant find info ANYWHERE on what the resulting donations and silent auction on the night ACTUALLY produced – but 100K sounds downright awesome so lets go with that until proven otherwise eh?! 😉
Thanks to the hardworking organisers! You done good. 🙂
